Chinese Family Photos

Judy is half Chinese and half Vietnamese, so she has become an expert in dealing with the many different Asian cultures and large families. Her mother is one of 8 children and her father is one of 12 children, so Judy is no stranger to large, crazy, and loud families. She has managed to develop a tone that gets the family photos done, without being mean or aggressive. She also is a master of capturing all the permutations and different configurations of sub-families in a large family photography setting. Judy also has the similar cultural background, making Chinese family photography a natural extension of her personality. She even understands the Teochew (Chaozhou) family naming conventions.

Chinese communities in Los Angeles County formed as Chinese immigrants settled in Chinatown, then in the San Gabriel Valley (primarily Monterery Park), and then with a secondary movement to other suburbs. These include Arcadia, Alhambra (Judy's hometown), San Marino, Rosemead, San Gabriel, South Pasadena, and Temple City. Further expansion then happened east to Walnut, Diamond Bar, Hacienda Heights, and Rowland Heights. Chinese communities are often marked by the many mandarin and cantonese speaking businesses (and our favorite, restaurants). We are familiar with many if not all of these communities and can provide family photography at or near any of these Chinese ethnoburbs. Tawainese are included in these Chinese communities.
