Sometimes things line up where we can do a destination photo session in a place other than our normal region of Los Angeles and Orange County. {V} just graduated from Cal Poly, a Cal State in San Luis Obispo or SLO. We started the Cal Poly graduation photos at Pismo Beach, because sand dunes are always awesome in portraits!
Cal Poly Grad Photography at Pismo Beach
We started the portrait session at the sand dunes of Pismo Beach. We did ours at the Oceano Dunes.
Cal Poly Graduation Photos at Terrace Hill
After that we headed closer to SLO and Cal Poly for grad photos at Terrace Hill, a local hiking spot and viewpoint. Yellow flowers were blooming around us, giving us a beautiful natural backdrop in addition to the view.
Cal Poly Grad Photos in San Luis Obispo
This is a great example of graduation portrait photography for Cal Poly SLO. We started at scenic sand dunes in Pismo Beach, followed by more grad photos at Terrace Hill. Sand dunes are always a fun backdrop for graduation portraits, and in this case there is a movement to preserve the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes and protect it from off-road vehicles.
