The {L} family had their family photos at one of our favorite locations: the Los Angeles Arboretum and Botanic Gardens in Arcadia. It’s the prefect backdrop to get multiple natural backdrops in one session, considering how many ecosystems it hosts. Read on for our day of family photography at the LA arboretum.
Starting in the Celebration Garden at the Los Angeles Arboretum
The Celebration Garden is a perfect spot to start the family portrait session, giving us a chance to break the family into the flow of the session. It’s especially important to get the kid(s) engaged with the camera.
Oh yeah, the LA Arboretum is known for it’s many peacocks!
Family Photos in the Bamboo Forest at the LA Arboretum
We then walked over to the bamboo forest that they have at the LA arboretum, though they actually have more than one bamboo forest.
We played with some of the bamboo leaves laying on the floor, which their little son loved.
Walking around the Arboretum and Botanic Garden for more Family Photos
We then wandered around to other spots around the LA Arboretum, including the large stable or Coach Barn and the orange orchard.
Family Photography LA Arboretum
This is an Arcadia family photography portrait session at the LA Arboretum and Botanic Gardens. Located in the San Gabriel Valley, the Los Angeles Arboretum is a local gem and perfect location for family photos. It does require a photography permit, so make sure you check ahead of time to get one. Make sure to look around the rest of our blog for many more examples of family photography in Arcadia, the San Gabriel Valley, and Los Angeles County. For example, here are more family photos in botanic gardens in Los Angeles and Orange County.
