The {H} family wanted a modern and urban backdrop for their family photos, so what better than doing family photography at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles. They have three beautiful children, one boy and two girls.
Starting on the Front Steps of the Walt Disney Concert Hall
We started the session at the front steps of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, easing the whole family into the portrait session. This is a great chance for the family to get to know Judy and get comfortable with her and her camera.
The Garden Level for more Family Photography
We then headed up to the garden level, which is characterized by it’s green tones from the well-landscaped trees and the silver/gray tones from the metal and concrete curves. Judy took this time to do individual portraits of the three children.
And here is Judy capturing more family portraits of just the kids in different configurations.
You can see here how Judy can capture different families in different ways, using different combinations and permutations to get a variety of family photos; to get unique family portraits.
Family Photography Walt Disney Concert Hall
This is a Walt Disney Concert Hall family portrait session in downtown Los Angeles. The concert hall is an amazing place for family portraits and is a very distinct icon of Los Angeles. The silver and gray panels curve and undulate in the background of every family photo. Originally designed by Frank Gehry, it is now an icon that sits on the top of Grand Ave. in downtown. Any good family photographer would take this amazing modern backdrop to amplify their family photography. The funny thing is the Walt Disney Concert Hall is where we very first began our journey into photography, and it is a place we frequent at least a dozen times a year.
Take a look around for more examples of how we capture families and create moments. We have tagged all of our articles to help classify each one, creating many pages that are sorted by location, theme, or family size. For example, here are family photos done in downtown Los Angeles.
