Equine photography is when you get photos of a trainer with their horse, often at an equestrian center or on riding trails nearby. San Dimas is home to at least three equestrian centers (Sycamore Canyon, Bonelli, and Marshall Canyon). For this equine photography in San Dimas, we started at Sycamore Canyon Equestrian Center and used trails nearby at Horsethief Canyon Park.
True North Equine is based in San Dimas at the Sycamore Canyon Equestrian Center. It’s right next to Horsethief Canyon Park, which has plenty of hiking trails and riding trails.
Love that he has two horses that he has trained and bonded with, so the more the merrier!
We then trotted down to Horsethief Canyon Park for horse portraits along trails with wooden fences.
And we love seeing how the trainer has bonded with his horse, giving the horse hugs and kisses.

This is a great example of equine photography in San Dimas, starting at an equestrian center (in this case, Sycamore Equestrian Center) and wandering around local trails (Horsethief Canyon Park). Horse portrait photography is a great way to show the relationship, bond, and love between a trainer and their horse (or horses). In this case, we got to capture him with multiple horses. He also finished off the look with a legit cowboy hat, which what better photoshoot than a horse/equine photography session for that look.
