One thing to always keep in mind is that a field filled with flowers has wild animals in it, including rattlesnakes. We ALWAYS make sure that every spot we take photos in is clear and safe before our couple steps there. That being said, isn’t this large field of yellow flowers just stunning?! That’s the great thing about being local to San Dimas, is that we know all the hidden spots.

We love how the yellow flowers engulf and frame our pregnant couple.

Family Photos in San Dimas

Starting with their son

We started the session with their cute toddler son, soon to be an older brother.

Just look at this picturesque hiking trail in San Dimas. Family photos on this trail practically take themselves.

After that we got some family photos of just the mom and dad together, relishing in their pregnancy.

We then snapped some frames of just the mom by her pregnant self. Maternity photography is something that brings out the glow in a mother’s changed body, and we can certainly see her glow in the forest of trees and greenery.

They laid down a picnic blanket for some family photos of them all sitting down.

San Dimas Maternity Photography

After the family photos, we switched to just maternity photos, with our mother in a long white shawl and a white bathing suit. This is a great example of San Dimas maternity photography and how we use our knowledge of local locations to create these images.

We absolutely love the way this ray of sunshine highlights her pregnant belly with a glow that can only be described as ethereal.

This is a combination family photography and maternity photography session at Walnut Creek Park. San Dimas maternity photography is a specialty of Judy and she brings a soft touch and friendly voice to each portrait session. She knows what it is like having a pregnant belly and how that can make a mother feel amazing, and not amazing at the same time. Maternity Photos with Balloons

Here are the balloons she brought for the shoot. We did maternity photos with the balloons first, just in case they decided to fly away (we’ve seriously had that happen before a single photo was taken during a previous shoot).

We then took maternity photos along a trail in the park, with a lot of lovely trees enveloping our couple.

And here is a lovely pregnancy photo of only the mother holding her pregnant belly, all draped in her elegant purple maternity dress.

This shows a San Dimas maternity photography portrait session in Los Angeles County. We did it at Walnut Creek Park and Trail, a local hiking spot here in the San Dimas area (surrounded by Glendora, Covina, San Dimas, La Verne, and Walnut). This session took place in a forest-like park with trails and trees and leaves. Our pregnant mother chose to wear a lovely purple maternity dress with a long, translucent train.

We started with individual portraits with the daughter and her HUGE balloon.

How cute are these family photos with balloons and a happy, pregnant mother?

We brought their daughter back into the mix of family and maternity photos. This is a really cute photo of them all kissing.

And how cute are these pregnant mommy and daughter photos?

Then they laid out a picnic setup, including the balloons for decoration and a blanket and wooden crate. They had a Minnie Mouse stuffed toy too, which their daughter loved playing with.

Walnut Creek Park Family Photos

These are family photos taken at the Walnut Creek Park in San Dimas, a small local gem in our hometown. It’s a beautiful place to showcase a family that is growing, and a beautiful place to showcase a mother that is expecting. The session above shows how we can handle a pregnant mother and a toddler child in the same session, bring the whole family together in the combined family photos. San Dimas is a local location, which means we discount it when shooting in San Dimas, La Verne, Claremont, Covina, or Glendora. This portrait session includes elements with the color yellow and pink, specifically yellow balloons and pink balloons. They were surrounded by trees and greenery in this picturesque location.

Starting at a Wood Fence in San Dimas

We started the San Dimas maternity photography portrait session at a rustic wooden fence surrounding by greenery and trees.

We absolutely love it when the sun peaks through the trees and leaves to add highlights and a warm glow is cast on our pregnant couple. Pregnancy photos always look nicer with that glow that reflects the mother-to-be.

Look how elegant she looks in that black maternity dress.

From a Black Maternity Dress to a Pink Maternity Dress

After the pregnancy photos in the black maternity dress, we switched to the pink maternity dress for something different.

We love how there is a stream here, though we made sure we gave her insect repellant (and one without deet)! This is one of the little gems of Walnut Creek Park.

San Dimas Maternity Photography

This is a great example of San Dimas pregnancy photos in Los Angeles County. We did the portrait session at the Walnut Creek Regional Park and Trail, which has trees, leaves, wood fences, and a serene stream. Our pregnant mother-to-be wore an elegant black maternity dress to start, and finished the session with a pink maternity dress. Los Angeles Maternity Photography

This maternity photography session took place in Los Angeles County, at a local park called Walnut Creek Regional Park. The trees with the sun trying to shine through them looked wonderful that day.

But not as much as our beautiful pregnant mother.

Just look at beautiful this forest-like setting frames our pregnant couple. How many places in Los Angeles County have you seen like this? It’s a perfect spot for maternity photography.

We love when our families bring props, in this case the shoes that they have for the baby (whether boy or girl).

And here are the two names they have chosen, but they don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl yet!

And we absolutely love it when our pregnant couple has a sense of humor about it! Gotta love a funny maternity photo.

Covina Maternity Photography

This park lies right along the border with the city of Covina, and this is such a beautiful and serene spot. It’s the perfect location for Covina maternity photography.

Judy saw a unique angle with the tree to frame our pregnant family. This is a great examples of San Dimas maternity photography and how we can use the local gems near us to bring out the best in our growing families.

This is a Los Angeles pregnancy photography session done in Los Angeles County, in a regional park that borders San Dimas and Covina. Maternity photography is a specialty of Judy, since she has also been pregnant herself (with our two lovely daughters).

Starting the Maternity Photos with a Stuffed Toy

We started the pregnancy photos with a stuffed animal for their little baby girl.

Here are pregnancy photos of our pregnant mother holding a pink parasol umbrella, wearing a two-tone white and red maternity dress.

We then took them to a nearby stream for more pregnancy photos. We always worry about the safety of our pregnant couples, so we brought a safe bug spray without deet.

Changing her Maternity Dress

And then we got more maternity photos next to a fallen tree or log. She switched her maternity dress to a more muted pink and turquoise dress.

And the name of the baby girl … ABBY! A convenient anagram for baby.

They also brought the printout of the sonogram as a prop for the maternity photography portrait session.

This is a San Dimas maternity photography portrait session at Walnut Creek Park. Our pregnant couple brought lots of props and accessories, including a baby elephant stuffed animal, wooden blocks that spell the baby’s name (Abby), a printout of the sonogram, and a pink parasol umbrella. Our pregnant mother wore a two-tone white and red maternity dress for the first half of the session. For the second half, she switched to a pink and turquoise maternity dress. When changing outfits, we always recommend timing it correctly and accurately, since we’d rather be taking more pregnancy photos than waiting for clothing changes. More than one change during a session is not recommended due to time restraints. San Dimas is our hometown, and we offer discounted prices for sessions done here locally.

We started the session with individual family portraits of their baby daughter.

Starting the Pregnancy Photos in a field in San Dimas

We started the pregnancy photos in a small field surrounded by trees, a grove if you will.

Our pregnant mother wore a beautiful white lace maternity dress that very elegantly shows off her pregnant body. Judy personally knows what it feels like to have a changing body and knows how to help our mothers feel more comfortable with capturing that.

There is a lovely wooden fence at the park that helps with our scenic backgrounds.

More Maternity Photos at a Stream or Creek

We walked over to a nearby stream or creek bed for more pregnancy photos, getting the trickling stream and river rocks in the foreground.

We love the fallen trees to use as a foreground element, helping us frame our pregnant couple.

And the water was still enough to have a mirror reflection.

Our pregnant couple started their pregnancy portrait session alongside a wooden fence. Our pregnant mother wore a yellow maternity dress.

We took them along a dirt trail surrounded by trees and leaves.

We then took more maternity photos next to a fallen tree or log, which created a beautiful backdrop.
