The great thing about photography at this park in Pasadena is that there is an iconic and historic bridge in the background of any photo pointing up.

And it’s always fun getting images of the siblings (in this case a brother and sister).

Starting in a Long, Picturesque Hallway at Pasadena City Hall

We started the family photography session in a long, large hallway on one of the four edges of Pasadena City Hall.

And of course we have to get a cute family portrait of the three children together!

We then got individual portrait photos of each of the three children.

The Pasadena City Hall Water Fountain

The HUGE water fountain is in the center of the courtyard and makes for a great backdrop for family photos. It’s definitely a centerpiece and is awesome for family photography at the Pasadena City Hall.

We got a little creative with this family photo, using a technique of “dragging the shutter” to blur out the children.

We started with the {S} family photos at the very large water fountain in the central courtyard. It’s the perfect spot to start the session and ease the family and their two sons into the portrait session.

And look at how this little guy poses for the camera. What a pro!

And it’s always fun to have a little tickle for a cute family photo!

And how adorable is that little smile? The greenery makes a perfect backdrop for their super cute daughter.

Here is the rock garden that features stones in a spiral maze going in circles. It’s really fun for the kids to play and run around.

And what kid doesn’t like to be held upside down?! We know that our own daughters love this and it always leads to lots of giggles. Plus it’s a good break from “say cheese” photos. It’s always a good thing to mix it up with kids.

One of the things we love about the garden is the spiral stone garden in the middle, which makes a unique and wonderful setting for a family photo. Pasadena is filled with so many hidden gems and this is surely one of them!
