Isn’t it adorable when the two sisters hug? We like to get family photos like this and capture them throughout the years, which is awesome for a sequence of photos that show their growth and change.

The Glendora Arboretum has a selection of bushes and trees that make for a natural and rustic backdrop, a step up from the average park setting.

And we always love getting a few pics of the parents by themselves. It brings back fond memories of their wedding photos and the days before children…LOL j/k we notice that parents are so focused on kids that they forget themselves. It’s nice giving them an excuse to laugh.

And we love that the natural wildflowers at the Glendora Arboretum and Botanic Garden, which are seasonal. These purple and yellow flowers made a perfect backdrop to wrap this little kid in.

And of course we squeezed in the whole family in the same beautiful spot.

Them we did some mommy and me and daddy and me photos. We like to squeeze in those fun permutations during our family portrait sessions.

And what better of a way to end the session than with a little kiss.

We usually squeeze in a few portraits of children as we do a family photography session.

And we jump right back into more hugs and kisses!

And why squeeze in some tickles too!

We always love using a beautiful tree to frame a family portrait. Taking Glendora Arboretum family photos allows us to use these scenic backdrops.

And whenever we see yellow flowers, we simply have to use them to compose our portraits. But this is less of a portrait and more of a cute candid moment between a loving mommy and her son. Gotta love the mommy and me moments.

We started the session with a super cute tub filled with strawberries and milk.

We then started the cake smash portion of the photography session. It was a very cute setup with a white tent and a white naked cake with pink and white roses. We have more examples of family photography with white color themes.

Starting the Graduation Photos at the Old Ranch Country Club

We started the grad portrait session at a beautiful water fountain at the country club.

We then got some family photos in front of that gorgeous water fountain.

We used the strong backlight of the setting sun to get a lovely warmth and glow to the graduation photos.

And whenever there is a fence, we just can’t help ourselves but to use it in the grad photos!

Old Ranch Country Club Graduation Photos

Our graduating student decided to have her grad photos at the nearby Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, which gave us a great backdrop for graduation photography. Starting UCLA Family Photography at Royce Hall

We started the family photo session at Royce Hall, in the large space in front of it’s front doors. The tall columns and the long hallway provided a classic and gorgeous backdrop for the photos.

Moving on to the Sculpture Garden

The UCLA Sculpture Garden is a staple of any student’s on campus experience. Getting to take family photos takes those

Metal Sculpture at the Art Department

We remember when the art department had it’s renovations in the late 90s and didn’t have this large metal sculpture. It’s a fun place for UCLA family photos, especially with two little brothers that want to run around and have fun.

We ended the session with family photography at Dickson Court, which is a central hub connecting mid-campus and north campus (Gavin used to practically live in south campus).

And we took one last photo with our masks on to commemorate the pandemic and times this session took place in. Some people don’t want any photos with masks, but some know that it can date the time period in the years to come (and that is it’s own unique memory in itself).

UCLA Family Photos and Much More

Gavin went to UCLA and knows the campus intimately, so it’s been a fun and engaging place for us to do wedding and engagement photography at UCLA. We are familiar with all of the hidden spots and picturesque nooks that are located on campus, especially after spending years there as students.

Starting in a Long, Picturesque Hallway at Pasadena City Hall

We started the family photography session in a long, large hallway on one of the four edges of Pasadena City Hall.

And of course we have to get a cute family portrait of the three children together!

Individual Child Portraits

We then got individual portrait photos of each of the three children.

The Pasadena City Hall Water Fountain

The HUGE water fountain is in the center of the courtyard and makes for a great backdrop for family photos. It’s definitely a centerpiece and is awesome for family photography at the Pasadena City Hall.

We got a little creative with this family photo, using a technique of “dragging the shutter” to blur out the children.

Starting Bonelli Park Family Photos at a Wooden Fence

We started the session at a wooden fence, which offers a nice foreground and perspective.

Gotta love a random, large log for our family photography session.

And here is another overhead with the fall leaves on the ground.
